Pat is a founding member of Glasslyn Veterinary Clinic. He graduated from UCD in 1968 and worked in Macroom for 4 years, before joining Glasslyn in 1973. His special interest is equine care. Outside of work, Pat enjoys playing golf and avidly supporting his home team, Tipperary, in all their hurling endeavours.

Kevin graduated with a Degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1998 form UCD. He worked in Tipperary for 1 year before joining Glasslyn in 2000. Kevin is equally interested in small and large animal practice, with a special interest in fertility testing in cattle. He holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Health & Production, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Dairy Herd Health.
Kevin’s outside interests include GAA and a good game of golf.

David graduated from UCD with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1990 and joined Glasslyn the the same year. David has an interest in both small and large animal practice.
Outside of work, David enjoys golf.
John Healy (Director)
John Healy (Director)MVB MRCVS
John graduated from UCD with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He initially worked in the UK for 1 year, before completing 4 years in Kilkenny. John is interested in all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in the management and control of the spread of Johnes disease. Outside of work, John’s time is taken up supporting his kids at their GAA games and entertaining their Bermese mountain dog, Molly.
John Nyhan (Director)

John graduated from UCD with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2000. After graduation, John worked in New Zealand for a year. When he returned back to Ireland, he spent 3 years working in Wexford, before joining Glasslyn vets as a partner in 2004. He has a special interest in small animal surgery and is Head of SA Surgery in our Kinsale branch.
In his spare time, he enjoys running, cycling and swimming, and regularly participates in triathlons and marathons.
Aili Gerz

Aili became part of the Glasslyn family in 2022 and is joining our Large animal section. Aili graduated from the Estonian University of Life Sciences in 2011 and has worked in Ireland since 2013 as a mixed animal vet. Her interests include all aspects of dairy herd health, poultry medicine, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. In 2018 she completed the Graduate Certificate in Dairy Herd Health in UCD. In her spare time she enjoys art and being in the nature.
Emma Hanly

Emma graduated from UCD in 2016. She worked in Carlow for 2 years in mixed practice before joining Glasslyn in 2018. She grew up on a suckler and sheep farm in Tipperary and has a strong interest in all aspects of Bovine Health.
Outside of work, she likes going to the gym and hiking.
Aoife Sheehan
Aoife Sheehan DVM, V.N
Aoife joined the Glasslyn team as a vet in 2019 after studying Veterinary Medicine in Budapest, Hungary. Prior to this she studied Veterinary Nursing in UCD and worked as a veterinary nurse here in Glasslyn from 2004-2012.
Aoife is interested in both large and small animal medicine with a particular interest in the bovine dairy sector.
In her spare time she enjoys outdoor activities,walking with her dog Koda and helping out on the farm at home.
Christine Nolan

Christine graduated from Warsaw University of Life Sciences om 2018. She spend one year in a mixed practice in Donegal before moving to Cork to focus on Small Animals. She joined Glasslyn in 2021 and has a keen interest in both surgery and medicine. In her spare time she enjoys horse riding and going for walks with her Lurcher Roz.

Denise Philpott
Denise Philpott MVDr, CertAVP(VC)
Denise joined Glasslyn in 2020. She graduated from the Free University Berlin in 2006 and worked in the UK for 4 years. She has a special interest in cardiology and has obtained a certificate in advanced cardiorespiratory veterinary medicine in 2014. Apart from cardiology, she has an interest in internal medicine, psittacine medicine and dentistry. In her free time she likes to run.

Jessica Deasy

Jessica graduated from University of Veterinary Medicine, Budapest in February 2016 and worked in both Kilkenny and Cork before joining Glasslyn in 2021.
Keen interest in both medicine and surgery including dentistry and pain management.
Enjoys hiking, pilates and spending time with family and her dog Bella.

Paedar has been part or Carberry since 1967 and comes form a farming background. He was born in Dublin and has 4 children. He loves sports, helping animals and people.

Marta joined our Muskerry team in February 2023 as a Small animal Vet. She is originally from Catalonia- Spain where she graduated in 2016 from Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona. She has a 2-year old black cat, named Giru.
Her hobbies include reading, hiking, going to the movies.
Sean O Neill

Seán graduated from University of Veterinary Medicine Budapest in February 2019. He worked in mixed practice for 3.5 years on the East Cork/West Waterford border before joining Glasslyn vets in 2022. Sean enjoys both large and small animal practice with a particular interest in bovine medicine and herd health. Seán is from a dairy farming background. Apart from veterinary Seán enjoys outdoor pursuits, helping out on the family farm and all things agriculture related.

Geraldine graduated from Budapest and is interested in both large and small animals.
In her spare time she plays football and camogie and also enjoy milking cows at home.
She has joined the Glasslyn Team in February of 2023.

Richie graduated from UCD in 2023. He grew up on a beef and sheep farm in South Tipperary and has a keen interest in all aspects of large animal veterinary. Outside of work Richie enjoys helping on the home farm, watching horseracing and travelling

Sarah graduated from UCD in 2017. She spent nearly two years in mixed practice in Co. Louth before moving over seas to New Zealand where she worked in small animal practice for 4 years. She joined Glasslyn at the beginning of 2024 and has a special interest in small animal dentistry and oral surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Katie graduated from Athlone Institute of Technology with a BSc in Veterinary Nursing in 2012 and joined the glasslyn team shortly after.
Katie has a particular interest in Surgical nursing and wildlife rehabilitation.
Outside of work she enjoys running, art, beekeeping and hiking with her five dogs.

Lisa graduated from St Johns Central college in 2015 as a registered Veterinary nurse and in 2018 she joined the full time nursing team here at Glasslyn.
Lisa loves all aspects of veterinary nursing but has a particular interest in Large animal nursing.
In her free time lisa enjoys playing Camogie, farming and walking her two dogs George and Ozzy.
Vivienne Maher

Viv has been part of the Glasslyn crew since July 2018 and is based in the Kinsale office. She completed a Diploma in Veterinary Assisting and Pet Care in 2019 and has graduated as a Vet Nurse at St Johns in 2023. Viv enjoys hiking, running and walking her family’s dog Beano on long cross-country walks. She has a very adorable dog named Phoebe.

Laura grew up in the Gaeltacht and come from a farming background. She graduated from Cork institute of technology with a bachelor of science in agriculture in 2015. She then decided to study Veterinary Nursing at St Johns central college before graduating in 2018.
She is interested in all aspects of veterinary nursing but likes to spend most of her time in surgery. In her spare time she likes to play football, taking the dogs swimming and socialising with friends and family.

Padraig oversees the daily running of our Bandon office. He manages all the Large Animal stock, advises our farming clients on drugs and medications and keeps everyone up to date on new products that hit the market.
In his spare time he likes to farm, and is a member of the Kilbrittain GAA club.

Since originally graduating as a member of Accounting Technicians of Ireland, Sarah worked in various financial and legal firms in Cork City and County. After being awarded a Fellowship in 2017, she began working at Glasslyn in the summer of 2018. In herspare time, Sarah enjoys reading, walking and riding her grey cob, Snowy.

Nora manages our Large Animal client accounts and oversees our Direct Debit payment scheme. She keeps all the vets in line by ensuring all farm visits are correctly invoiced and sent in a timely manner to our clients. Nora also liaises with the Department of Agriculture payments for TB testing.

Alexa joined the Glasslyn team in March 2020 and is originally from Tableview, South Africa. She has a BCOM degree in Human Recourse Management. Alexa has worked at a Vetshop, Dog Hotel, Animal Rehabilitation and Hydrotherapy Centre,Boarding Kennels and Veterinary Clinic.
She is married to Marzelle, have 2 kids, 3 dogs, 2 guinea pigs and an African Grey Parrot.

Grainne studied Veterinary Nursing at St Johns College until 2021. She joined our Glasslyn Team in 2019 for work experience and has since been offered a permanent spot. Grainne has a Springer cross called Taz and loves to take him for walks. She also loves sports and hanging out with her friends.

Caitriona is a QQI Level 5 and 6 certified dog groomer and also achieved a level 5 in Companion and captive studies (2020) and Level 6 in Animal science and management (2021) from St. John’s central College. She has a keen interest in breed standard style and show trims and in her free time she likes arts, crafts and socialising.

Holly joined the team in May 2022, having achieved a BSC in Veterinary Nursing in AIT in 2017. She has bountiful experience in Equine Nursing and Orthopaedic Nursing, with a special interest in holistic care for Small Animals. She enjoys taking her Boston Terrier Olive for adventure walks in her spare time and running.
